Michele M. Wales

Michele Wales is a principal and the national director of tax of BMWL.  She practices primarily in the area of nonprofit income taxation.  She is also responsible for training members of the firm who specialize in this area of taxation.  Michele has more than eighteen years of experience in public accounting.  She is licensed or authorized to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in numerous states.  Michele has served as chief financial officer for a large nonprofit social services agency and controller for an airplane manufacturing company.  Her community and professional activities include serving as a board member for the Philanthropic Advisors Council of Central Florida and serving as a religious education teacher for her church.  Michele graduated with honors from the University of Florida, receiving her bachelor of accounting degree in 1985 and her master of accounting degree in 1986.  She and her husband, Bill, have two children.
